If you buy pheromones, pay attention to whether the seller is reliable?

The pheromone market is heavily regulated. Many products claim to contain pheromones, but in reality there are very few producers. It’s easy to check whether what you want to buy is effective. Recently, several products have appeared on the Polish market with labels claiming that the product contains a certain amount of active ingredient — for example, “contains 2 mg of androstadienone”. The problem is that the product doesn’t actually contain that pheromone. We know this because we performed laboratory analyses. It’s sad, but there are many unethical companies on the market that don’t care whether the product works. For them, the only thing that matters is that the customer buys the product. We consider this unacceptable. Additionally, some sites promoting pseudo‑pheromones mention specific chemical compounds, such as androstenol, but they never state that the product itself contains them. They list chemical compounds on the site in the hope that readers will assume the product contains them. It doesn’t. Isn’t that absurd? Marketing gurus resort to very dishonest practices.

When we conducted further laboratory analyses of products available on the Polish market we were often surprised by how low the quality offered by companies claiming that their products contained pheromones was. Often these products contained only trace amounts of pheromones or none at all!

Do you choose a product based on a single pheromone or a blend of pheromones?
Many products contain single pheromones — androstenol or androstenone. Since nature has made us as we are, it would be wrong to alter that. There are products that contain three or even more pheromones (androstenol, androstenone, androsterone, androstadienone, estratetraenol and others), often in proportions similar to those produced by the human body. The versions for men and women are properly balanced, which increases their effectiveness several times over. To put it plainly, products based on multiple pheromones simply work better.

If you pay attention, you’ll notice that some products are very highly concentrated. This fact has been confirmed in the laboratory. Consumers today pay far too high a price for products that actually contain no pheromones or only minimal amounts. It should be remembered that producing 1 gram of androstenol or androstenone costs more than 6,000 dollars. To notice any effect, a pheromone concentration of at least 150 mg per litre is required. For this reason, a good 5 ml product should cost at least 60 PLN — pure mathematics.
Products have become popular in which pheromone concentrations are less than 0.1 mg per litre. Experience and laboratory studies have shown that only 150 mg per litre (a concentration of 0.015% = 0.15 mg/ml) is sufficient to achieve the desired results. The difference between products based on a single component and those based on a mixture of pheromones
Products based on a single pheromone (androstenone for men, androstenol for women) differ fundamentally from mixtures of three ingredients. The human body, regardless of sex, produces both pheromones. To increase your sexual attractiveness, a product based on a single compound is sufficient. However, to attract attention in a natural way, an ideal purchase turns out to be a product based on many pheromones.
